Die Organisation des Lutherkongresses
Die inhaltliche Planung der Lutherkongresse liegt in den Händen eines international zusammengesetzten Fortsetzungsausschusses. Es bestimmt drei Jahre vorab das Thema des jeweiligen Kongresses, die Hauptvortragenden und die Leitenden für Seminare und spricht die Einladungen zu diesen Aufgaben aus. Seine Mitglieder repräsentieren die wichtigsten Regionen der Lutherforschung, nämlich Deutschland, Skandinavien, Nordamerika und den globalen Süden.
Vorsitzende des Fortsetzungsausschusses sind derzeit Prof. Dr. Anna Vind (Dänemark) und Prof. Dr. Volker Leppin (Deutschland). Die anderen Mitglieder sind: Prof. Dr. Mary Jane Haemig (USA), Prof. Dr. Erik Herrmann (USA), Prof. Dr. Armin Kohnle (Deutschland), Prof. Dr. Mark Mattes (USA), Prof. Dr. Sini Mikkola (Finnland), Prof. Dr. Marius T. Mjaaland (Norwegen), Prof. Dr. Claus Schwambach (Brasilien) and Prof. Dr. Christopher Spehr (Deutschland).
Die konkrete Organisation vor Ort obliegt einem Lokalausschuss, der für den Kontakt mit den Teilnehmenden zuständig ist. Es sorgt für die Durchführung praktischer Anliegen wie Kongressanmeldung, Unterkunft, Empfänge, Exkursionen, Einschreibung in die Seminare, Ablauf der Kurzpräsentationen und ähnliches.
Vorsitzender des Lokalausschusses für den 15. Internationalen Lutherforschungskongress an der Universität Aarhus, Dänemark ist Prof. Dr. Bo Kristian Holm.
Luther Congress – organization
Each meeting of the congress is planned by an international Continuation Committee. This committee selects the subject matters to be discussed at the next Congress and decides upon questions concerning the overall theme, the keynote lectures and the invitation of lecturers, and the seminars and the invitation of seminar leaders. Its members represent the main areas of Luther research in Germany, Scandinavia, North America and the Global South.
Currently the Continuation Committee is chaired by Prof. Dr. Anna Vind (Denmark) and Prof. Dr. Volker Leppin (Germany). For each Congress, a Local Committee is formed to welcome and host the participants. Practical matters such as registration, lodging, receptions, excursions, as well as arrangements for the seminars and for the short presentations, and other related services, are taken care of by the Local Committee.
